This Monday, we looked at Disney Cruise Line’s Magic ClassDisney Magic (1998) and Disney Wonder (1999). Which have you been on?

Holland America Line recently announced its 2027-2028 Asia season, which includes three new ports in Japan–Hitachinaka, Nagoya, and Maizuru. The cruise line is offering 15 voyages between September 2027 and April 2028, ranging from 13 to 15 days.

MSC Cruises announced its expanded partnership with Formula 1 this week. The cruise line will be the title sponsor for three Formula 1 World Championship Grand Prix races in 2026. The races will take place in Austin, Texas; Barcelona, Spain; and São Paulo, Brazil. The announcement came just as the cruise line’s MSC Seascape will begin sailing year-round from the Port of Galveston. 

Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas has returned to Singapore. She is offering 3- to 5-day short itineraries as well as a longer 8-day journey. Ports of call include Penang, Phuket, and Bali, with the 8-day journey including Bawang, Benoa, and Lombok.

Celebrity Cruises took delivery of its next Edge series ship, Celebrity Xcel. She will begin sailing from Fort Lauderdale on November 9, 2025. The cruise line also announced the name of its sixth Edge series ship, Celebrity Xcite, during its steel-cutting ceremony. 

Princess Cruises’ Royal Princess was recognized as the “World’s Best Culinary Cruise Ship” at the 2025 World Culinary Awards. The award, which is voted on by culinary and industry experts as well as travelers around the world, celebrates Princess Cruises’ commitment to culinary excellence.
