Cruise Ship Monday–MSC Meraviglia Class

It’s Cruise Ship Monday!

Today brings us MSC Cruises’ Meraviglia Class–MSC Meraviglia (2017), MSC Bellissima (2019), MSC Grandiosa (2019), MSC Virtuosa (2021), and MSC Euribia (2023).

The Meraviglia Class ships were the largest ships of the MSC Cruises’ ships until 2022. MSC Meraviglia and MSC Bellissima were the first two ships in the Meraviglia fleet, weigh in at 171,598 gross tons, are 1,036 feet long and feature 19 decks.  MSC Grandiosa, MSC Virtuosa, and MSC Euribia were the next three ships in the series and are slightly larger and known as Meraviglia Plus. They weigh in at 181,541 gross tons, are 1,086 feet long and also feature 19 decks.

The central heart of all five ships is the Galleria Meraviglia. The two-story indoor promenade is covered by an innovative LED dome that creates a “digital sky.” Guests will find multiple restaurants, bars and shops lining the promenade.

Entertainment onboard the Meraviglia class of ships features the Carousel Productions at Sea which offers acrobatic and live music shows twice a night, and the Broadway Theatre offering at least 6 different world-class shows on each cruise. Guests will enjoy a karaoke bar and comedy club, as well as an amusement park with bowling alleys, F1 Simulators, flight simulators and an XD cinema. Younger guests will love the LEGO-themed kids’ club.

Each ship features multiple pools, hot tubs and a water park. The pools include a pool with a retractable glass roof, an outdoor pool, an adults-only pool, and the pool within the water park that features waterslides and other water attractions. Each ship also features an exclusive saltwater pool with a small hot tub within the MSC Yacht Club that is for Yacht Club guests only.

Dining on the MSC Meraviglia Class ships include both complimentary main dining rooms, buffets, and specialty restaurants that feature international and Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Specialty dining includes venues such as The Butcher’s Cut, a steakhouse; Hola! Tacos & Cantina, a Latin America and Mexican venue; Kaito Sushi Bar offering sushi and Asian-inspired cuisine; Jean-Philippe Chocolat & Café which specializes in chocolates and crepes; and Ocean Cay Seafood. MSC Yacht Club guests can also dine at the Yacht Club Restaurant.

MSC Meraviglia is currently sailing a 7-day round trip sailing to the Bahamas. She also sails from various ports in the Mediterranean. MSC Bellissima next sailing will embark from Tokyo, Japan on October 13, 2025. MSC Grandiosa is currently sailing a 7-day roundtrip Western Mediterranean voyage. MSC Virutosa and MS Euribia are currently sailing throughout Europe. In November, MSC Euribia will sail a repositioning cruise to Dubai where she will offer 7-day round trip voyages in the region for a season.
