“Our Canada & New England itineraries are designed to showcase the wonders of the region — from its breathtaking national parks and storied lighthouses to its rich French heritage,” said Paul Grigsby, vice president of deployment and itinerary planning for Holland America Line. “Guests can experience magnificent French culture without ever leaving North America, all while enjoying a front-row seat to the stunning fall foliage that makes this part of the world unforgettable.”

Between May and October 2027, Volendam and Zuiderdam will sail 20 voyages between seven and 14 days. The 13 itineraries will feature the cities, history, natural wonders, and cuisine of Canada and New England. Additionally, nearly every itinerary includes cruising the St. Lawrence River and a call to Montréal or Québec City, Québec, Canada.

Holland America is offering a new “9-Day Lighthouses & Harbors of Canada and New England” itinerary on Volendam. The voyage will embark on October 2, 2027, from Montréal. 22 shore excursions will give guests the opportunity to explore 10 lighthouses, including Maine’s historic Portland Head Light and Nova Scotia’s legendary Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse. The itinerary also includes scenic cruising and ports of call such as Halifax, Nova Scotia; Bar Harbor, Maine;  and Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

Other itineraries during the season include the popular “10-Day Canada & New England Circle: New France and Montreal” and the “11-Day Canada & New England Circle: Maritimes and New France.” The 10-day roundtrip sailing from Montréal is centered on Canadian culture with ports of call in New France allowing guests to experience its history and beauty. The 11-day sailing from Montréal to Boston offers the opportunity to visit five national parks. Parks include Jacques-Cartier National Park, Gros Morne National Park, Mingan Archipelago, and Saguenay Fjord National Park. The voyage also includes late night calls in St. John’s and Halifax.

Holland America Line’s Destination Dining will bring local cuisine onboard. Guests will enjoy Maine lobster, Prince Edward Island mussels, Boston baked beans and Boston cream pie. Guests can also enjoy lobster tasting with fishermen in Charlottetown, maple treats at a sugar farm in St. John, or shop in Portland’s historic district.
