Cruise Ship Monday–MSC Cruises Musica Class

It’s Cruise Ship Monday!

Today brings us MSC Cruises’ Musica Class–MSC Musica (2006), MSC Orchestra (2007), MSC Poesia (2008) and MSC Magnifica (2010).

MSC Cruises’ Musica-class ships are some of the smallest in the fleet weighing in between 92,409 and 95,128 gross tons with a passenger capacity of just over 2,500 at double occupancy. These vessels are about half the size of the cruise line’s MSC Meraviglia-class ships which weigh in at about 171,598 gross tons and can accommodate over 4,500 guests at double occupancy.

While the Muscia-class ships are on the smaller size of the MSC fleet, they still showcase several amenities for its guests. Each ship has two main dining rooms, a casual buffet and a sushi bar. They each feature multiple Atrium and Pool Bars, a Clubby Bar, a Cigar Bar, Wine Bar and a Sports Bar.

Guests can enjoy arts and dance classes, comedy shows, game shows, karaoke or live music. There are activities for both teens and children, including a children’s outdoor pool. Guests looking for sports activities will enjoy practicing golf, miniature golf, shuffleboard, as well as the sport center and tournaments.

The vessels feature two main pools and multiple hot tubs. Around the pools, guests will find loungers, tables and chairs. iFor a small fee, guests will also find a private sun deck and bar with loungers and cabanas and sunbeds.

Each ship also includes the MSC Aurea Spa. The spa offers Balinese spa treatments and massages, a small thermal area, and a salon. Here is where guests will find the Aurea Spa Bar. The fitness center sits at the front of the ship offering phenomenal views. The gym offers a variety of TechnoGym equipment, daily fitness classes, and a jogging/walking track.

Each ship’s theater offers unique shows twice nightly. MSC Musica’s Teatro La Scala features popular music shows, MSC Orchestra’s Covent Garden Theatre is the venue for varied Paris-style cabaret shows, MSC Poesia’s Teatro Carlo Felice and MSC Magnifica’s Royal Theater feature old-style variety shows.

Guests will also experience all the popular amenities like themed deck parties, live DJs and the testing of the fates at the ship’s casino.
