Virgin Voyages is celebrating a new milestone this week! Scarlet Lady has made the cruise line’s first-ever call in Iceland. The itinerary includes three Icelandic ports allowing Sailors to experience all the country has to offer.
Sailors are enjoying a 10-night England to Iceland & Norway sailing that departed from Portsmouth, UK on July 27, 2025. Scarlet Lady carried nearly 2,700 Sailors to Amsterdam, Norway and Scotland before making an inaugural visit to Akureyri, the largest city in northern Iceland, on August 3. Scarlet Lady then sailed into Ísafjörður, a small town in the Westfjords, on August 4. Sailors will enjoy an overnight call in Reykjavik beginning today, August 5. Scarlet Lady will embark on a return trip to Portsmouth on August 6, 2025, calling on all the same ports for a second time.
“Scarlet Lady was the ship that started it all, and she’s still setting the pace,” said Nirmal Saverimuttu, Virgin Voyages CEO. “Her arrival in Iceland reflects growing global demand for our unapologetic approach to ocean-going vacations.”
