Royal Caribbean International’s Star of the Seas Debuting in 2025

Royal Caribbean International’s Star of the Seas is on her way and guests will find some of their favorite thrills first introduced by her big sister, Icon of the Seas, along with some new venues and experiences.

Star of the Seas is the second bold act of this exciting, new era of vacations first introduced with Icon of the Seas, and it’s putting the world’s best vacation on the map at yet another top travel destination,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean International. “Between Miami and Port Canaveral (Orlando), more adventurers than ever can set their sights on the only vacation that combines the best of all vacations – from the beach retreat to the resort escape and the theme park adventure – with experiences that have and will continue to make headlines and memories for years to come.”

Sailing out of Port Canaveral, Florida in August 2025, Star of the Seas will offer six waterslides at Category 6 waterpark, a pool for every day of the 7-day itinerary, the family-friendly Surfside neighborhood, and the second of two suspended infinity pools at sea in the adults-only Hideaway. New on Star of the Seas will be a 1930s Chicago-inspired supper club experience, Lincoln Park Supper Club, that will feature multiple dining courses and live entertainment.

Like her big sister, the Icon-class Star of the Seas will showcase eight neighborhoods with Thrill Island, Chill Island, Surfside, AquaDome, and The Hideaway being the five that are unique to Icon-class ships.

Thrill Island includes the Category 6 waterpark, Crown’s Edge, the FlowRider surf simulator, and mini golf. Chill Island is a three-deck “slice of paradise” that includes four of the seven pools–including the largest pool at sea–as well as live bands and DJs. Young families will want to hang out at Surfside where they can hang out all day as the children play at Splashaway Bay and Baby Bay and the grown ups can enjoy the Water’s Edge pool.

The AquaDome is back on Star of the Seas with its wraparound ocean views, its amazing shows at the AquaTheater, and the AquaDome Market. Adults will want to enjoy the adults-only Hideaway found 135 feet above the ocean. Hideaway offers a suspended infinity pool, a DJ, its own bar, whirlpools, and serene ocean views.

Guests will also find their favorites reimagined like the Royal Promenade, the open-air Central Park, and the ultra luxurious Suite Neighborhood. There will be more than 20 ways to dine as well as more than 20 bars and lounges. Whether you prefer casual or upscale dining, you will find it on Star of the Seas.

Star of the Seas will join Utopia of the Seas when she debuts from Port Canaveral meaning vacationers can choose a weeklong Caribbean vacation on Star or a short getaway to The Bahamas aboard Utopia. Star of the Seas’ maiden voyage will be a 7-night Western Caribbean sailing with ports of call in Costa Maya, Mexico; Roatan, Honduras; Cozumel, Mexico; and the cruise line’s private island in The Bahamas, Perfect Day at CocoCay.
